Noelle Chandler has taught hunt seat equitation in competitive show facilities for the past 20 years, starting with beginner riders and summer camp, moving up to higher level riders competing in IEA, IHSA, and A rated USHJA competitions.
Glimpse of the past 20 years from Noelle:
Starting in 2000, I worked for Valkyrie Equestrian Center in Granby, CT for 10 years. During this time I rode with Carolyn Joseph, Anne Kursinski, and Dee Dee Hopper.
I rode competitively for my college and in the A circuit. I qualified for Regional and Medal finals consistently. I spent time with trainers of other disciplines including dressage, cross country, reining, natural horsemanship, and western pleasure. I taught for multiple facility's lesson programs, ran summer camps, coached IEA, sold multiple competitive horses, and managed barns of up to 40 horses.
After receiving my bachelors in business, I worked at a sales barn where I moved to the jumpers and got to experience a higher level of riding. During this time I was a Sports Director for the YMCA where I created the YMCA branded riding program that was community funded and focused on the best practices of horsemanship and instruction.
In 2015, I moved from the east coast to be near family. I spent two years riding and teaching under John Turner at Thumbs Up Farm. In 2018, I started an Interscholastic Equestrian Association team while training green projects.
In 2022, I started Tango Equestrian, a training business where the horse comes first. As a team, we collaborate closely with experts in the industry and I constantly push to expand myself and my clients’ access to top trainers and education.
